Bail Information for the Newport Beach Jail
Subjects who are currently in custody at Newport Beach Police Department may be bailed out 24 hours a day, in person, at the Front Desk. Please contact the Jail at (949) 644-3672 for Bail Information. Or call Orange County Bail Bonds at 714-BAIL OUT.
The following restrictions apply to Bail Payments:
- We accept six types of payment for Bails: Cash, Checks, Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, and Traveler’s Checks.
- You may not combine methods of payment, one type of payment must be used for the entire Bail Amount.
- Checks, Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, and Traveler’s Checks must be made out to the appropriate court for the exact amount of the Bail. If the arrestee has multiple warrants, there must be a separate check for each warrant.
- Checks have the following additional restrictions
- We do not accept business checks
- We do not accept out-of-state checks
- We do not accept checks for Bails larger than $7,500.00
- We do not accept checks for Warrants issued by courts outside of Orange County
- We do not accept post dated checks
- We do not accept third party checks
- All checks must be personal checks, drawn on a local bank, and must be accompanied by a Valid Driver’s License
